Randall Purtell, CFO
Randall Purtell has a broad range of experience, from Fortune 500 international financial and accounting management to local CPA firm tax and audit. A native of Houston, he began his professional career with an international accounting firm but soon succumbed to his entrepreneurial spirit. In 1983, he co-founded a public accounting firm in Tyler, Texas. Seeking greater challenge, he returned to Houston in 1989 to work as a project manager for a major outsourcing-consulting firm. In this pre-NAFTA/CAFTA era, Randall had the foresight to know American businesses would soon look to broaden their horizons south of the border. He studied Spanish at night and accepted a position in South America for a major oil field service company. Randall is fluent in Spanish and has functional command of Portuguese.
During his tenure as an expat, Randall gained experience managing financial operations for major corporations throughout Latin America and Asia. He has held senior management positions in those regions, successfully navigating tough financial issues in often challenging political and economic climates. After living as an expat for 9 years in Asia and Latin America, he returned to Houston In 2005. In 2008, he began his consulting practice, which, in addition to Asia and Latin America, has enabled him to work with several countries in Africa.
